Meal Plan 27/03/17

This week I have picked up a large Beef Joint in the hope that it will be used for 3 meals. I like to try and have at least 1 meal per week where I am using leftovers in order to reduce the amount of waste we have.
Our overall weekly total at first came in high but with all the cashback I gained on some of the products meant it was reduced considerably. The total even included the gifts I got for my mum for Mother Day and quite a bit of alcohol.

Meal Plan:

Roasted Butternut Squash Soup with Homemade Bread

Roast Beef, Potatoes, Carrots, Peas and Yorkshire Pudding

Stuffed Flat Mushrooms with Salad

Beef Casserole

Tagliatelle with Asparagus and Mushrooms

Leftover Beef Sandwiches with Roasted New Potatoes

Pizza, Onion Rings and Potato Wedges

Vegetable Ragout with Cheesy Bulgur

This Vegetable Ragout with Cheesy Bulgur was one of the most tastiest dishes I have tried. Both my husband and I had never really tried bulgur wheat before, so we were pleasantly surprised at the taste. You will often find Bulgur Wheat in our cupboard now as a staple because you can use if for so many things. I highly reccommend trying this recipe out and if you don't really like certain ingredients then adapt it to your tastes. It is one of the most expensive recipes I have tried from the Goustos cookbook, but it was worth every penny. You can make this recipe cheaper depending on the amount you buy and where you shop at.

Spring Cleaning

Spring has now arrived, can you believe it?

There are flowers blooming, the sun is in the sky (well not today), and with the milder temperatures means we no longer require a coat. Now I don't know about you but this sounds perfect to get some spring cleaning done. Whether you get everything done in one day, spread it out over weeks or the month, it is nice to refresh your house and put some life back into it.

Here are a few tips that help me with spring cleaning.

Meal Plan 20/03/17

The first 4 meals this week are from Simply Cook. I have used them in the past and all the recipes I have had so far have been amazing. We also spent a little bit more this week because we treated ourselves to a bottle of gin. With the weather getting slightly better it is always nice to have a glass of gin and tonic to relax.

Meal Plan:

Chicken Katsu Curry

BBQ Tandoori Chicken with Sweet Potato Wedges

Baked Pasta with Sausage and Kale

Spiced Butternut Squash Risotto
Butternut Squash Pasta

Baked Potatoes with Leftover Chilli
